The Magic About Vision Boards
What do you daydream about?
Here’s a few of mine:
- Chilling on a vacation in a Greek-style beach resort with my phone on DND mode
- Traveling round the world
- Having a great career and unlimited funds and staying eternally “un-broke”
- Being fulfilled in every sense and having peace of mind
Some of my goals are inspired by my sweet-bum doses of romance reads— call me “cheesy” but hey, they are a great source of good vibes and inspiration. And another hey, daydreaming is fun. It’s like fiction — transporting you into your own world and fantasy, far away from the boring regular.
Vision boards work the same way, helping you imagine, but instead of being fictional, you envision what you can become.
Vision boards are graphics that you create to inspire yourself. They are what the name says: a board. You can use anything for a board — construction paper, white board, easel, anything you want, and anything that makes you feel at ease.
Vision boards operate on the Law of Attraction, the ability to attract into our lives whatever we are focusing on. Here is where visualization becomes key: creating images — any art to communicate your message. What you see all the time begins to play in your mind, begins to form an image in your head, begins to act on your mindset, begins to change your mindset, begins to stay in your subconscious, becomes so embedded and deep-rooted in your subconscious, begins to manifest in your life.
Making Your Vision Board
Vision boards give you the power to become your own creator, to become your own imagineer. You can put anything on your vision boards, your goals, inspirational messages, that quote by Kendrick Lamar that screams “conqueror”! to you, that picture of Oprah Winfrey you cut out from her magazine that you like so much, that scripture verse on happiness and peace of mind that’s helped you push through— anything and everything that inspires and motivates you. It’s limitless! You can put them in a collage or in a list or do your own custom arrangement. There are no rules on making vision boards. Be free and wild and express yourself in any form!
You can have plenty vision boards too.
You also get to decide what you want for you, how your vibe is right now. You get to design your life, what you feel is important for you, how you want to look or feel, what you want. It could be your career, your financial stability, your relationship, your growth. Our needs and aspirations and desires and hopes and dreams are uniquely and amazingly different. You can have separate vision boards for them too.
You can even decide to make them online!
Platforms like Canva and Adobe Spark Post are awesome places. Personally, the ideas of vision boards for me have evolved, from cardboard paper work to Instagram posts and Pinterest images, quotes from celebrities, the inspiration is an endless sea. And the inspiration equals the magic.
Remember: it’s all about what you want, what makes you happy, what works best for you. All for you. And the best thing about it is you don’t need to call anyone to help you do it. You do it for you, by you. And you also gain this awesome sense of fulfillment, pleasure from doing it. Take it from me: it’s the best magical, buttery feeling — the power to design your life and command it.
And on a final note,
you can also add or subtract anything you wish to. You can take it down and re-construct it in whatever way you think is better than the last. There are no rules. Do whatever you want. There is never a finished or final vision board. You’re always growing and evolving, your vision board should to.
Any suggestions on how we can make our vision boards even more colorful? how do you construct yours? I’d love to hear them.
Stay creative!
